Project MK-ULTRA
This is information on the United States governments role in testing pharmaceuticals in the 1950's. In the 1950's the United States were looking for new weapons and advances during our Cold War. During this time there were no laws about a patients right to know what procedure is happening to them. They administered the drug on countless occasions on unsuspecting people to see how the drug could possibly control their mind. After the countless trials, and a couple of deaths, they decided that the drug was way too unpredictable, so they scratched the idea. I feel that this leads to the un-trust in our government today. If the government is willing to test unregulated drugs and administer them to unsuspecting people, then why should we trust it.
